Honors Program Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Honors Program, students must meet certain criteria that set them apart from other students.
To Be Eligible
Must be a first-time, full-time student at Big Sandy Community and Technical College for the Fall 2006 Semester. Must have a composite ACT score of 24 or higher. Must have an ACT score of at least 20 on all sections of the ACT. Must submit two letters of recommendation (one from the high school counselor and another from a high school teacher). Must provide 3 hours per week in either institutional or community service. Must maintain a GPA of at least 3.25 and constantly remain an active participant in all program requirements in order to continue the program. Must successfully complete the Honors Program Application and Screening Process.
