Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) makes available current academic calendars and grading and refund policies to students and the public.

Academic calendars are posted to the College's website [1]. Dates to request tuition refunds are listed in the academic calendars. The refund policy stipulates for a student to receive a refund, a student must officially withdraw within the specified refund period as stated in the policy [2] [3]

Grading policies are published annually in the Kentucky Community and Technical College (KCTCS) Catalog [4] and the BSCTC 2006-2007 Student Handbook [5]. Hard copies of these policies are kept in the Admission and Records Office. Section VII, 2.2 of the Rule of the Senate states that "A student has the right to be informed in writing by the first or second class session, or in the introductory materials for a distance learning course, about the criteria to be used in evaluating the student's performance, a course grading system that includes specific expectations with relative weights, and to expect that the grades described in the KCTCS Catalog will be used" [6].
