Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) conduct an annual performance evaluation for all its administrators,
including the President/CEO. The process is consistent with Kentucky Community and Technical College (KCTCS) Administrative
Policies and Procedures, Section 2.5 [1].
A performance review timeline is established and located in the Administrative Policies and Procedures,
Section 2.5 [1].
Review of evaluation results are conducted with the Performance Planning and Evaluation
(PPE) [2]
process to access the individual expectation in supporting the College's overall
strategic goals [3].
Comprehensive Standard 3.2.1 illustrates the authority and procedure for evaluation of BSCTC
President/CEO.
BSCTC follows the Performance Planning and Evaluation Instructions (PPE) as provided by KCTCS for all employees
Section 2.5 pg. 9-17 [4].
Detailed information is located within Comprehensive Standard 3.7.1 in regards to the evaluation
phases of planning, mid-year review and final evaluation which includes the employee, evaluator and reviewing officer for
final approval and signature. BSCTC organizational structure provides the guidelines for identifying each employee supervisor
and the reviewing officer (supervisor immediate supervisor) for annual evaluation of all
employees

In addition to individual evaluation by supervisor, staff and faculty are given the opportunity to evaluate each
administrator [6].
Moreover, the President/CEO is evaluated by staff and faculty using a web-based confidential
evaluation form [7]
administrated by the KCTCS Office of the President 3.2.1.3. The BSCTC Board of Directors, as identified in the KCTCS Board of
Regents Policies and Procedures, Section 1.3.3.1 [8]
is responsible for evaluation the BSCTC President/CEO [9]
and advising the KCTCS President on his performance. The KCTCS President has final authority of evaluation of the College
President [10].
