How’s this for a schedule? Class on Monday and Tuesday, clinicals on Wednesday and Thursday and work on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. To make things more remarkable, clinicals and work are nearly three hours from home.

Big Sandy Community and Technical College will host its seventh-annual Big Sandy Stars Talent Showcase this at 7 p.m., Friday, April 11, in Gearheart Auditorium on its Prestonsburg campus. The talent show will feature BSCTC faculty, staff, and students.

The Alpha Nu Zeta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Big Sandy Community and Technical College held its induction ceremony Friday, March 28, in the Gearheart Auditorium on the Prestonsburg campus.

SPEAKERS BUREAU SPOTLIGHT: TOUFIC SAAD

Toufic Saad, a professor of Mathematics, has been teaching at Big Sandy Community and Technical College for 25 years. A native of Beirut, Lebanon, he has a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Kentucky, with 18 additional graduate hours beyond the master’s degree in both Computer Science and Mathematics.
