Admission Requirements
Thank you for your interest in Big Sandy Community and Technical College. With four campuses located in Hager Hill, Paintsville, Pikeville and Prestonsburg, BSCTC is conveniently located to all of the Big Sandy area.
Prospective students must meet certain criteria in order to be admitted to the Big Sandy Community
and Technical College.
Age
Students must be at least 16 years of age to enroll.
Application
A completed application must be either completed online or downloaded, printed, and completed from the application section of the admissions website.
Official Transcripts
Along withe a completed application, official high school transcripts must be sent to the Admissions office. In order for a transcript to be considered "Official," it must come directly from the school. Alternatively, it can be mailed by the student if it is in a sealed and signed envelope.
Entrance Tests
Big Sandy Community and Technical College accepts scores from either the COMPASS test or ACT. COMPASS is the official admission and placement assessment. See the COMPASS site for more information.

Programs may have additional admission requirements. Contact the individual program for their specific admission requiements.
