The Welding Technology Program provides the skills and knowledge necessary to determine the appropriate welding technique required for a specific project. Welding occupations are primarily concerned with joining, surfacing, fabricating or repairing structures or parts made of metal or other materials.
Welding jobs are found in manufacturing. Jobs are concentrated in fabricated metal product manufacturing, transportation equipment manufacturing, machinery manufacturing, architectural and structural metals manufacturing, and construction.
